Report from the May 15 Congregational Meeting

The vestry, after researching various ways to address the problem of our badly failing pipe organ, arrived at

its recommendation at an April 24 meeting, and presented it to the congregation for discussion on May 15.

The recommendation is to purchase a new CF-9 Allen digital organ, two manual, finished in medium oak.

This proposal was enthusiastically received by the congregation and unanimously approved by acclamation.

The congregation gathered following worship on January 31 to receive reports of the past year’s activities,

approve a budget for 2016, and elect vestry members and convention delegates. Louise Hoogenboom was elected to succeed Judy Gardner as Senior Warden, Charles Olson to succeed Dwight Tostenson as Junior Warden, and Bob DeGezelle and Lee Johnson as new vestry members.

Continuing in their current roles are vestry members are Paul Robinson as vestry member and treasurer, Victoria Huff and Kathleen Rudd as vestry members, and Violet Gilson and Marilyn Rundell as delegates.

Many thanks to Judy for unstinting service in her dual roles as Senior Warden and Parish Nurse,

to Dwight for his many accomplishments as Junior warden, to Victoria for spearheading

this year’s significantly more successful stewardship campaign,

and a warm welcome to Bob and Lee as they join the vestry.

Following the annual meeting the new vestry convened to appoint

Ed Rundell as trust officer, Marilyn Rundell as teller, and Beverly Gustafson as clerk.

And Paul added yet another feather to his cap by finding the ring in the Epiphany cake!
